Beverly Blamey Obituary

Blamey, Beverly K.
1/4/1930 - 9/2/2022

Beverly Kay Blamey passed away peacefully at home with her loving family and little dog, Marley, by her side. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Bev was born January 4th, 1930 in Covington, OK to Athol and Kathryn Rhodus. She lived on the family farm until the age of eight when they moved to Victor, CO. In her teens she moved to Leadville, CO where she eventually met and married the love of her life, Aloysius Blamey. They were blessed with 65 years together until his death in 2012. Bev worked at the Cherry Creek Card and Party Shop for 27 years. She loved her job and all the wonderful friends she met while working there. She was blessed with a multitude of friends and a family that loved, admired and cherished her. She was the sweetest, kindest, most loving, caring person and a true and genuine friend. Everyone that knew Bev loved her! She always had a kind word, a shoulder to cry on, good advice and never uttered a bad word about anyone. She lived a happy and full life. Bev was always active, upbeat and full of life and love. She loved gardening and always had the prettiest flowers and lawn in the neighborhood. She and her family traveled the world and enjoyed many wonderful and memorable adventures together. Bev was always on the go, dining out, going to movies, concerts, shopping with her daughter, Karen, and socializing with friends. Doing crossword puzzles with her son, Duane, was a favorite pastime of hers. Her granddaughters, Amber and Tiffany, were the light of her life and she was very proud of the wonderful young women they've become. She loved animals and especially all the dogs she shared her life with over the years. She gave so much love and happiness to her family and we will be forever grateful for the blessing of her in our lives. She loved us with all her heart! She derived strength and guidance from her unwavering faith throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al, sisters Lawana Bartell and Darlene Lindbloom, brother Lee Rhodus and son-in-law, Robert Baum. She is survived by her son, Duane, her daughter, Karen Baum, granddaughters Amber Kay and Tiffany Blamey, her baby dog, Marley, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She will be missed dearly, always loved and remain in our hearts forever.

Dear Bev, You and your Caley were always such rays of sunshine coming in to the vet clinic. You will both be missed but I am comforted to know you are reunited once again with you sweet little friend. Fondly, Jean W.

My dear dear friend, how saddened I am that you are no longer here, but I know how happy you are with Jesus and the wonderful reunion you had with family and friends the moment you left this earth. I will miss you more than you know and the silly memories and laughter. Oh the laughs we shared. They will stay in my heart until I see you again. I love you, Kerry

Dear precious Aunt Bev, you have now entered the garden with among others, Jesus and my mother. And the joy you share as you tarry there none other has ever known. I love you, LV
