Clarence Seim Obituary
SEIM, CLARENCE S.
73, passed away March 14 in Huntley, Ill. Known as "Cy," he was a retired United Airlines manager and longtime community volunteer, and is remembered for his humor and warm hospitality. A Korean War veteran, he retired in 1992 as manager, maintenance operations at San Francisco, after 38 years with United. Later, he co-owned the Arvada, Colo. franchise of Nationwide Floor and Window Coverings. He was a former deacon at Wellshire Presbyterian Church in Denver, a licensed private pilot, and active in RUAEA and Lions International.
Mr. Seim was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Rankin Elam; three children, Laura Lee (Scott) Hansen, Lyne S. Ryan and David (Julie) Seim; two stepchildren, Benjamin Elam and Elizabeth E. (Ed) Bell; and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., April 23, at Wellshire Presbyterian. Memorial contributions may be made to the church at 2999 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80222, or the Lions Club of Sun City/Huntley, P.O. Box 901, Huntley, IL 60142.
