Colorado has lost one of its best men, a man of integrity who worked selfessly for the good of everyone. I remember the pain he felt over the gas explosion in Glenwood Springs, working with him and NGHS Band Boosters, running against him for Ward IV (we both won), attending meetings together, seeing him and Jan dance the night away at Immaculate Heart, dining at the Broker in downtown Denver just last year, seeing him in a musical review in Northglenn...and always with a smile on his face and the time to listen. His family is proud of him, I am sure. I am proud to have known such a fine man.

This is saddening news of the passing of Mayor Parsons. He could see the crisis in affordable housing in the metropolitan Denver area and used his influence to promote the use of city and county private activity bond allocations for first time homeowner mortgages. I am sure he would want this effort to continue.

Thanks for all the great memories with the Boy Scouts of America. I wouldn't be an Eagle Scout without you Don!

I am glad to have known Don the short while that I did. He was a truly wonderful man with a very big heart. I believe Northglenn is a better place because of his involvement. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
