Dorothy Hartwell Obituary

Dorothy Anne Curtice Hartwell died peacefully, at home, Sunday, August 19, 2012. With her at the time were her beloved husband, Hugh Bronsdon Hartwell and her three children: Catherine Hall Hartwell of Malinalco, Mexico, Anne H. Urquhart (Quentin) of New Orleans, LA, and David Curtice Hartwell (Amy) of Lake Forest, IL. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Katherine Harlow and Elizabeth Trist Urquhart, and Isabelle Clair and Ian Bronsdon Hartwell. Dorothy Anne was born August 19, 1933 in Flint, Michigan, daughter of Harlow H. and Dorothy B. Curtice. In early years she was educated in Flint, Michigan. Later she graduated from Kingswood School Cranbrook, Broomfield Hills, Michigan, 1951; Bradford Jr. College, Haverhill, Mass. 1953; and Connecticut College, New London CT, 1955. Dorothy and Hugh were married in Flint, Michigan, June 16, 1956. They enjoyed spending their time with their children and grandchildren, as well as extensive worldwide travel, especially on cruise ships. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute, payable to BMT Patient Assistance Fund, Attn: Holly Campbell, 1721 E. 19th Ave., Ste. 300, Denver, CO 80218.

I am so sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. Hugh is a cousin of my late mother's, Doris Arlene Hartwell Granger. I would be grateful to hear from any of Dorothy's children. Hugh has my address. May Dorothy rest in peace.
