Gilbert Yaeger Marchand was a Native of Mississippi. He graduated from the University of the South, and was a member of both the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Delta Theta fraternal organizations. He attended Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, and served in the Navy for 3 ½ years. Gilbert graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, MBA as a C.P.A. He worked for several companies, being a chief financial officer. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Bruce Marchand, and his children Lisa Marchand Kupferer, Gilbert Y. Marchand, Jr. and Bruce Alexander Marchand. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13th at 11am at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, 1350 N Washington St, Denver, CO 80203.
