Harold "Stormy" Storm passed away March 6 after a 5-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Ann; two daughters, Laura Storm (wife of Steve Becraft) and Cynthia Rouillard (wife of Gregory); three grandchildren, Ryan, Katy and Carolyn; and sister Ginger Martin (wife of Jerry).
Born in Denison, Iowa, Stormy moved with his family throughout the mid-west and graduated from Central High School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1950.
He served in the US Air Force briefly and then attended the Kansas City Art Institute. After moving to Denver, Colorado, Stormy joined his parents in their advertising agency, Harold Storm Advertising, which he continued to run for over 40 years. He also did advertising and design work for the Shrine Circus and was editor of the Shriner's newspaper, The Red Fez, for a number of years.
Stormy was a man of diverse and interesting hobbies. He was a sword dancer and drum major for the El Jebel Bagpipe Band; one of the founders of the El Jebel Mountain Men; past president of the Arvada Historical Society, and advocate for the Arvada Center for the Arts, which was opened in 1976. He also raised quail, played the piano, hunted elk and pheasant, sculpted, and remodeled several rooms of their home under the supervision of his wife. Stormy was much loved and will be sorely missed.
A celebration of Stormy's life will be held for friends and family on May 24th in Lafayette, CO. For more details please email Laura at [email protected].
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.

Ann,
I'm sorry for your loss. I remember meeting Stormy years ago when we worked on our "presentation". He was so interesting and had a great sense of humor.
