James Kemper Obituary

In memory of James Smith Kemper, of Clark, CO, passed away September 3, 2015. He was 50 years old. Born May 12, 1965 in Denver, CO to Bill and Carol (Berney) Kemper, Jim spent his formative years in Evergreen, CO and was an accomplished tennis player at Evergreen High School. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in economics. Aside from his family and friends, Jim had numerous passions, notably training his beloved black labs, hunting, and snowmobiling. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Jim was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother Carol, brothers William (Angela) and Thomas (Chrissy), nephew Van, and nieces Olivia, Julianna and Zoe. A ceremony for family and close friends is being held on September 15, 2015 at the T.G. McCarthy funeral home in Pueblo, CO, followed by the interment at Roselawn Cemetery. In Jim's honor, a gathering of family and friends will take place Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Denver Athletic Club in Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers, the James Kemper Memorial Fund has been established which will go to support the Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue. Donations are being accepted at: MidFirst Bank, 2805 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80222.

Our entire family has a special place in our hearts for Jimmy. He was always sweet and kind, easy to talk with. His love for our large family was obvious.

He loved dogs, and training them came easily to him. He will be missed, but our memories of times with him will remain.
