Jane Carter Obituary
Carter, Jane Long time educator for the Denver Public Schools died, at the age of 79, on December 14, 2009. Jane was an elementary school classroom and music teacher for 30 years; and an advocate of music education for children. Retired 1988. Her interests included singing, piano, salsa dancing and travel. Born March 24, 1930 in Rochester, NY. Moved to Denver following her graduation from Fredonia Teacher's College with a degree in music. Throughout her career, Jane was an active member of the Denver Federation of Teachers. Survived by Brother, Dr. Frederick Remington of Pittsford, NY; son, Marc Carter; granddaughter Marley Carter both of Santa Monica, CA. Memorial service Rochester, NY. www.trevinomortuary.com.
