John Simos Obituary

John G. Simos passed away July 3, 2013 at the age of 85. Born in Argentina and raised in Chile, John emigrated to the United States in 1946 and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Geology. Survived by his wife Sue Alexander Simos; daughters Laurel Simos and Leslie Simos; stepsons David Alexander (Brandt Wilkins); Paul Alexander (Leslie); and George Alexander; and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:00 am, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2400 S. Colorado Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations honoring John to: The Denver Hospice 501 S. Cherry St. Denver, CO 80246.

John, how you will be missed by so many! I loved your stories, your great sense of humor and our mutual love of rocks and gemstones. You taught me more than you could have ever known. Thank you for being my friend... I will treasure that friendship always.
