Don, Pete, Deena - The glimpse into Lonnie's time with Bureau of Reclamation warmed my heart.

I worked with Lonnie for a number of years on water resources manuals and other technical publications. He was a true professional, always knowledgeable, articulate and cordial. His death is a real tragedy and my prayers and sympathies go out to his whole family.

I was Lonnie's coworker for 13 years and his supervisor for 5 of those years. Among the technical editing staff, he was noted for his keen understanding of technology and also of the technical subject matter in the reports he reviewed. As Deena wrote, he was kind, courteous, and professional and, as I recall, he had one entire wall of his cubicle lined with artfully arranged empty Diet Dr. Pepper cans.

So sorry to hear about Lonnie’s death and my prayers are with his family. We were married for a short time, but had fun playing tennis and traveling. Since I later became a flight attendant, I think it’s interesting (not too mention - cool) that he became a pilot. Again, my sincere condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear of Lonnie’s death and my prayers are with his family. We were married for a short time, but had fun on the tennis courts and traveling. Since I later became a flight attendant, I think it’s interesting (and cool!) that he became a pilot. Again, my sincere condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Lonnie Lewis for many years. He was always kind, courteous, and professional. He has been sorely missed at Reclamation.
