I have fond memories of Michael coming to stay with us in the UK. I remember driving my MG midget with him across country lanes in the summer, talking and getting to know a half brother I never knew I had. I remember him as a kind and warm person, with a smile very like my own. He was the kind of person you could instantly start talking to. I wish I could of had more time with him and know that he is at peace now.

Michael was my first friend. As children, we were constant companions at birthday parties, on the jungle gym, walking to school, building snow forts, playing football, listening to music and thinking up fantastic games to play with the rest of the neighborhood kids. When summer rolled around, Michael would likely show up at my house barefoot, eating a sour green apple and looking to form a pick-up game of soccer, kickball, or something to that affect. His enthusiasm was contagious, whether he was playing music or just goofing off. We were never bored when Michael was around – his mind worked nonstop, and the laughs were endless. I owe a lot of my happy childhood memories to Michael and his family. My prayers are with them now.

My condolences and sincere wishes to Mike's family and friends. I knew Mike through middle and high school, although not as close friends. I remember Mike's fun-loving, friendly personality and that he treated people kindly. Of course you could always count on him to smile.

Louis, Dena, Lara, Rachel – As I think you know from all the time I spent in your house while growing up, Mike was one of the closest friends I have had in my life. Mike was humorous, intelligent, firmly grounded, and always intrigued by a little mischievous adventure. As friends often do, we failed to keep in touch after college. But when we saw each other in Denver a few years back, it was like old times. I regret not staying better connected with Mike and I will sorely miss him in the years ahead. But I will remember our friendship and years worth of memories made long ago. Goodbye, Mike.

Friends since 7th grade and roommates for much of college, I'll remember a bright, articulate, passionate guy who always had a 'twinkle' in his eye. I called him 'Schemer' for years as he always had some mischievous plan cooking. I'll treasure the time we spent together and remember him for his love of parties, his piano/keyboard, music (even the Pink Floyd at all hours), law & politics, the Redskins, kicking a football, playing hearts or throwing darts until 3am, C-team basketball, drives back & forth from home to VT, and all my other memories.

My deepest condolences go out to Mike's family. I'm sorry I never got to meet them. Mike and I formed a band in 8th grade. He pulled me out of a time of dispair. I had just moved and had no other friends and he gave me something to look forward to. We played in bands throughout high school and I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life. Mike was a great pianist and a greater friend. I always hoped we could jam again someday. Until we meet again, Mike, keep ticklin' the ivories.

Michael was an amazing person and helped everyone in need. I have personally recieved a great deal of support and care from that beatiful man. He was probably the most selfless person I know.
