Michael Ricker, 65, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died January 7, 2006, of a brain aneurysm while surrounded by his family and loved ones. Michael Anthony Ricker was born on September 15, 1940, to Kenneth and Mary Gretchen (Fuller) Ricker and was raised in Fort Collins.
Known to many as a celebrated and accomplished sculptor for more than four decades, Michael's work has been treasured by many including former Presidents and dozens of other prominent and famous individuals. His talent, humor, and incredible generosity will be greatly missed.
Survivors include fiance Jeanne Dougherty; mother Mary Gretchen Ricker; sons Ty Ricker; Trent Ricker and his wife Jana; daughter Ashlie and her husband Bill Smith; sisters Judy Nicholson and Mary Jo Simons; brother Gary Ricker; grandchildren Michael, Jessica, Johnathon and Jordan; step-grandchildren Kyle, C.J. and Danielle Smith.
