Patrice "Pat" Leann Neef, 68, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Pat was born on November 24, 1954, and resided in McPherson, KS until relocating to Castle Rock, CO, in 1985. Pat is survived by her husband James "Jim" Neef, children, Justin Bleger and Katie Gardner, Grandchildren, Oliver Bleger, Rhys Bleger and Desyn Bleger.
Pat obtained her MBA in Accounting and Finance at Regis University in Denver, CO, and was most proud of her contributions working for Douglas County for 28 years. At the time of her passing, she was the Chief Deputy Treasurer Public Trustee.
Pat adored spending time in the Colorado mountains with her family, home improvement, the Denver Broncos, rock 'n' roll music and she loved being a grandmother.
Many people speak of Pat as the strongest woman they have known. She was driven, incredibly resourceful and irreplaceable.

I met Pat while working for Douglas County. We would go to lunch together at the Old Stone Church or "prayer" meetings after work. Pat was a warm, smart, kind and generous person. Already ready for a good laugh. She will be sorely missed.
