Robert Cox Obituary

Robert Allen ("Bob") Cox died last week in his home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Robert ("Bobby") and his mother Mildred Thornton Cox. He is survived by his aunt, Dotti Sharp (Corpus Christi), uncle Ken Weller (Houston), cousins Dorise Steele (husband Bruce) of Corpus Christi, Kynn Wilson (husband Jack) of Orlando, FL, and numerous other cousins across the country. Bob is also survived by his former wife of 20 years, Jeannie. Bob moved to the Denver area a year ago and fell in love with the Rocky Mountains, while renewing his interest in photography. Prior to that, Bob and Jeannie spent nearly 20 years in South Florida. Bob graduated from Richard King H.S. in Corpus Christi, where he made many friends and developed his passion for surfing. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marines and spent most of his career in executive sales. Memorials suggested to www.nationalparks. org.

I know this is a little late. However, we were on vacation when we heard the news. I had purchased a new laptop computer and was and still am having problems with it.

We got home late yesterday so today we are kicking back and tomorrow I will start cleaning and opening mail. I just dread it.

We were so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a great guy and we loved him very much. He will be missed terribly.

We did not have enough time with him and he was much to young to go to the other side so soon.

Bob, I know you are still with us in spirit and just know how much we care now and forever.

We will see you again when we are all together.

Jeannie, you are my favorite niece and I have a few nieces. Love you all but you are special to me.

You know how much Bob ment to me. I'm just so sorry..

I love you, Aunt Jean and Uncle Bob

"Beauty comes from a life well lived. If you've lived well, your smile lines are in the right places, and your frown lines aren't too bad, what more do you need?" This is a quote from Jennifer Garner, but it is everything that Bob was about. An easy smile for everyone and a kind word to all. What a pleasure to have known him.

Bob was the definitive "good ole' boy", who enjoyed life and was not afraid to live it to the fullest. He was intelligent, insightful and hard working. But it was his warm heart, his big smile and the sincerity of his friendship that made him a truly special man. He will be missed by all who had the privelidge of knowing him.

Bob was a really good man, and always had a smile for everyone. Some people also know that he was a terrific photographer, and I always looked forward to seeing his work when he'd return from a trip ... he'll be missed by many friends.

Bob, I will miss you very much. We spent a number of years as business associates and thanks to you, and your wonderful interest in photography, I saw many parts of Alaska that I would have never seen otherwise. You became much more than a business associate to me, you were a very close friend. You will be missed by very many.
