I would like say I met Ruth awhile ago and instantly gained a friend. We met at the Governor's Mansion at an affair for our Executive Director. Her daughter Diane introduced us that day and became a courier for our conversations over the years. In the time we spent together that first day I saw a lady who loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was fun and we bonded instantly. She was able to adapt to any situation and accept people for their beliefs without prejudice. Given the opportunity we could have painted the town red:-) I will miss Ruth but I believe we will have the chance to walk, talk, and laugh together again as John 5:28-29 promises. Until then.

Mrs. Rodriguez, I had the opportunity to meet you and go to lunch with you and Diane a few times. Diane brought me your chili to work a few times since it was too hot for her. It was sooo good! I remember you as a great lady and know a lot of folks thought that of you, also.....

Dear Ruth,
My real pleasure was to meet and get to know you through your daughter Diane, who is one of my dearest friends. More like a sister to me. I had nothing but much love and respect for you Ruth. Thank you for coming into my life. You will be truly missed but never forgotten. You are now one of God’s angels watching over us.
This poem goes out to Diane, Tim, Ruby, Frank, John .
This morning.....
This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, he saw me, and he
asked:
My child, what is your greatest wish for today?
I responded:
"Lord please, take care of the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends.
They deserve it and I love them very much".
The love of God is like the ocean; you can see its beginnings but not its end.
This message works on the day you receive it.
To some it may sound dumb, but the person who sent this to me was impressed with
the time.
Let us see if it is true.
ANGELS EXIT, but some times, since
they don't all have wings we call them FRIENDS, SUCH AS YOU.

Ruth, your visits to California were always so special to me when I was a little girl, I'm glad that I got to know my cousins thru those visits.I'll never forget that summer I spent with you and my cousins in Colorado. I will always treasure that photo you gave me of me standing next to my mothers coffin. That is the only picture I have with my mother. I love you very much, and I feel special that you got to know my husband and children.
My prayers and love go out to all of your family and friends whose lives you have touched.

Dear Ruthie,
You are the newest angel in heaven. It was an honor knowing you and just being around you. You were kind to everyone. You are my Daddy's first, and most special niece. He loves and misses you very much, we all do.
Love,
Cousin Marlene
