Sam Stock was one of the best friends I ever had.
The time he lived in Peoria, though some of the most miserable of his life I'm sure, were the best times I've ever had. Getting to know this kid whose life experiences were so profoundly different than mine opened my eyes more than just about any experience I've had, before or since. He was one the hands-down coolest, caring, and funny people I've ever met. Thanks for introducing me to the Chilli Peppers, Ramen Noodles, and the phrase "stu-id." I'll miss you.

There is always that someone who transcends definitions of a friend. Sam Stock was an incredible human being with too many talents to list. My memory of Sam will always be as my friend from Arapahoe High School who was always off in distant lands perfecting his soccer talents and readying for a sports career. We look up to Sam as an example of excellence in athletics and a talent in the arts. The fondest memories I have of Sam, include driving through the streets of Denver, listening to Sam's voice on the radio and humming along to his music selections. I knew you Sam and miss you dearly.

So many great memories of "Samage" come to mind for me- but the one memory of him that I will always cherish was his laugh- that wonderful, infectious, soul warming laugh- I will never forget it.
I just bet Sam & Johnny Briggs are up in Heaven livin' it up as we speak. I can so picture it...I miss you guys.

Sam was one of the most engaging and energetic people I ever knew. I was lucky to know him and work with him at Westwind Media a few years ago...and was further blessed to welcome him to Thanksgiving dinner and various barbecues that resulted in him playing Play Station Games with Scott for hours and hours. I will never, ever hear a Scottish accent the same way again. I'm sure those in Heaven are enjoying his big, bright light right now. My deepest, heartfelt sympathies to Sam's family. God Bless You all!

One of my many funny memories of Sam involved going to Lollapalooza back in the summer of 1992 in Cincinnati, Ohio. I got the brainy idea to rent a 15 passenger van so we could all ride together to the show, and I was the designated driver. We were listening to Smashing Pumpkins and some other great music and Sam was riding in the front passenger seat. Well, the music inspired Sam to shout "Get me up!" and he dove onto the first row of seats where everyone body passed him to the back of the van, like he was crowd surfing at a concert, and then back to the front seat. He sat back down like nothing had happened.
I'll miss you, Sam.

Some of the best times I had were with you and Tony back in high school. You will be missed, but not forgotten.

My fondest memory of Sam was during Junior High PE class at Isaac Newton. We had Ms. Risoli and as usual all had to sit on the floor in designated spots before heading outside for archery. The class was antsy to get outside and when the teacher made some comment that we were getting ready to go outside, Sam jumped up held his hands high and shouted "yeah yeah yeah yeah" as he ran out of the room. The rest of the class just sat there watching him.
We were in hysterics about that one for pretty much the rest of the year.
Sam was a good man and an excellent friend. I never once had a negative interaction or feeling toward him. He was fond of hard music and walked like he talked. He will be sorely missed.
