T. Lowe Obituary

LOWE, DR. T. SAMMI Dr. T. Sammi Lowe passed from Life into Light on September 2, 2009, in Denver, Colorado. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whose lives and hearts Sammi had touched deeply throughout her very memorable life. Sammi was born in Torrington, Wyoming and received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in 1980. She continued her education throughout her career. Dr. Lowe had a long and illustrious practice that included private practices in Wyoming, Oregon, New York and Colorado. Dr. Lowe's Chiropractic career spanned 29 years and included Clinic Director at Western States, Texas Chiropractic, New York Chiropractic College and Colorado College of Chiropractic. She was also a valued professional consultant at the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Greely, Colorado. Sammi loved music, animals, lacrosse, and was an avid gardener. In her death, as in her life, she gave us all such courage and hope, and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Sammi is survived by her beloved spouse and life partner Dell Talbot, her faithful companion Abbie, her mother, Norma Roebuck, brother Jay Kurtz, and countless friends and grateful patients. A celebration of Sammi's life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies, 980 Clarkson, Denver, Colorado, 80218, (303) 860-1819 with Reverend Jim Burns officiating.

I had no idea that Sammi died, let alone so long ago. I am so sad, and I know that this prayer for her -- and Dell -- will fall on the ears who need to hear. Sammi was such a presence and a gift to all. I can't imagine a world without her. Right now, it's like she is just now gone. Oh, my heart.

I had the opportunity of getting to know Sammi very very well and she will always be a part of me for the rest of my life just as she has left a part of her life with all of her very many many friends, patients, students, colleagues and relatives. It was simply hard to not like Sammi – she was amazing in every aspect. She was always encouraging, determined, humorous and very friendly and yet she was always concerned about all of us. She set the bar for professionalism and yet showed us how to relax and enjoy life. She will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity of meeting her and I hope to catch up to her in the next universe. Thank You Dr. Sammi for everything and rock on.

Yours truly, Michael Bahuchet

Dr. Lowe took me under her wing and guided me through my clinc internship in Buffalo, N.Y. I am very grateful for that experience and I am a better doctor for that. I have never met a finer person in my life. I was honored to be one of her students.

Sammi met the good times in her life with relish and faced the bad times with grace and courage. She was a wonderful woman and my husband and I feel honored to have known her. Our hearts go out to Dell. God speed, Sammi Don and Mildred Imler

Sammi was the role model I had always wanted when I was going through chiropractic college, but never found. She inspired me to be a better chiropractor. She was also the best boss I had ever had. She was fair and diplomatic. She ran a tight ship, but always had words of encouragement. Sammi had a love for chiropractic and a passion to pass that along to our students. She never ceased to amaze me with her wisdom. I cannot express the sadness that I feel that she is gone. I hope her family and friends can realize how many thousands of lives she has touched along her incredible life's journey. She will be sadly missed by all of us here in Buffalo who had the pleasure of knowing her and working for her. She was a truely outstanding woman.

Sammi was my friend first and my mother figure second, I was always the youngest when we were together, but she always wanted me to be included.
Sammi taught me how to drink expensive tequilla and eat soft shell crab. She taught me to believe in myself and was a becan of light when moments seemed dark. She always made you feel wanted and she showed a love of family and friends no matter where she was either in Buffalo, Houston or Denver.
She will always be a pricess keeper for Ms Dell and Mrs. H, but for me also. Sammi, I LOVE you!!!

Sammi was my friend, my mentor, and my sister. She taught me about the wild wooly women of Wyoming, to make sure my shoes/boots matched my belt, to only drink top shelf liquor, and to share myself with my friends. Just by the way she lived, I learned from example to be a better spouse, friend and christian. And Sammi reminded me how to laugh. Sammi Go rest high on that mountain, and know you were loved.

Sammi was a kind soul and we had something special from the first day that we met. Funny thing was that Norma and my momma Mary had been friends for some time and we had no idea....I will miss you Sammi and your true friendship.

Dell my prayers and thoughts are with you.

Love Always

I remember calling Sammi, even though I had never met her, to let her know my mother, Kathy, had passed away. Oh the stories I heard from my mom and Sammi herself of the fun and trouble those girls found so many years ago.
The words she told me were so comforting at my moment of weakness.
I am sure God met her with open arms and now the girls can be together again.
To family, friends and Dell, no words can be said to take your pain away, but please rest knowing that she is walking with God and is looking down on all of us right now. I wish you peace in your difficult time.

My favorite memory of Sammi is watching in amazement as she adjusted her cat, Widow. I had never heard of this much less seen it. Sammi lifted her up by her tail and with a practiced movement, "cracked the cat!" That cat was truly ancient when she finally passed, so it must have worked!

We will all miss Sammi, one of the kindest people I have ever known.

All our love to Dell.

Sammi had a way of making everyone feel like they mattered. She always had a kind word for you when you were feeling down, could always make you smile when all you wanted to do was cry, she had a shoulder for you to cry on when you were hurting, but most of all she had the best quality of any friend, an ear to listen with and great advise or direction.

There is a big void in our lives now, but our hearts will always be filled with the love we feel for her and the love that we always got from her. Sammi has touched all of our lives, and we each have a fond memory that will always bring a smile when we think of her.

We love you Sammi, Have we told you that …. We will ALWAYS love you.

Sammi,

My few and brief moments with you will always be with me. It seems so long ago we worshiped together at MCCR. Your spirit was one of kindness, gentleness, so warm and always welcoming. You've been set free my frined, and have finally reached your destiny. I celebrate your life, and I rejoice as you rest in the loving arms of your heavenly savior, Jesus Christ.
With fond memories and love, Karen
