Thomas Vine Obituary
March 6, 1948 - January 7, 2023
Tom Vine passed away after a short and intense battle with cancer. He was born to Wendell and Kathryn Vine in Elko, Nevada. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Southern Utah State and his Law Degree from Georgetown University. He served as a lawyer for the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, Economic Development Administration in D.C. In 1989, he and his family moved to Denver, where he served as Regional Counsel for the same agency until he retired in 2011. A loving father, he supported his children in all their interests. His biggest love was following the Boston Red Sox and the Denver Nuggets. He is survived by his children, Patrick and Caitlin, their spouses, Katie and Bryce, his grandaughter, Hanley, his sister, Pauline, his long-time girlfriend, Kat, and his former wife and friend, Jan. Services will be held at a later date, not yet determined. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Tom's name to Sobriety House Inc.,121 Acoma St, Denver, CO 80223.

I was saddened to hear of Tom's passing. He was a caring and supportive friend. When I first came to the meeting I sat way in the back. He started talking to me and invited me down to the conference table where he said I would be healed faster because it was the ICU for the sick and suffering. That was me then. Thank you Tom for all your support and for being a stand up guy in the rooms! Rest in peace my friend

Still thinking of you every day Tom. At our first group conscience of 2025 yesterday your name - as it often does at group conscience - came up and I reminded everyone that you used to say that if you had attended group conscience EVERYONE in that group conscience would have gone out drinking. You are sorely missed my friend......
