I am so sorry that I am unable to be there with the family during this difficult time. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Jerry Joe was definitely one of a kind, but that is what made him the special person he was. He strongly believed in keeping his family name and heritage alive. He was proud to be a Maxie and for everything the Maxie name stood for--strength, courage, and unity among many things. I know he will be looking down smiling upon all of you as you come together as a family to celebrate his life.
