Bruce was one of my dearest friends in high school. and I will always miss him. We had the opportunity to play John and Elizabeth Proctor in the Crucible and I will always remember how important that work was to both of us. We learned a lot about faith and social justice and had the best of conversations. We stayed in touch during our college years and for awhile thereafter. I learned how very much he loved his wife and family and can only imagine how difficult this loss must be.

Bruce was one of my best friends in high school. Always remember our trip to the east coast in the summer of 68 to pack him out of Princeton and our visit to Manhattan.
Bruce made sure I was dialed in to the best emerging music, Doors, Buffalo Springfield, etc & also told me never wear a brown belt with black shoes.
He told me once that one of the problems in this world was that some street sweeper in Bombay will have 18 kids & we will only have 2 or 3. Looks like he made a concerted effort to offset that dilemma.
An outstanding role model and the best of the class of 67 at WLHS.

I would like to tell about how Bruce & Lu Anne
would make everyone feel welcome. I got to know Bruce best, at some of the ward functions, and especially when he would host the neighborhood movies in his back yard. Even though he had health problems, he would always stay positive. What a Great Man & who we could call our friend.

Lu Anne, I loved Bruce's goodness and friendship over the years since our time together in the charter class at law school. Such a generous heart. I share the knowledge of the inspired insight of the Prophet Joseph Smith who wrote of our time after this life, when "that same sociality which exists among us here will exist among there, only it will be coupled with eternal glory, which glory we do not now enjoy" (D&C 130:2).

Dear Lu Anne, Bruce was always one of my favorite people on earth and it was a pleasure to work with him and for him at Bonneville. Bruce was always kind, honest, direct, supportive and possessed a fabulous sense of humor. There was never any doubt that his family came first and he wanted others around him make time for their families as well.
Bruce made a huge contribution to the broadcast industry. He was one in a million.

Lu Anne, I am so sorry for your loss of the love of your life. Bruce always brought a smile to a room and I noticed how people were drawn to him. He was quick to offer a kind word to others and often had a good joke to share. Bruce was blessed to have you as a companion here and I hope you are comforted knowing you will see him again and forever. May the comforting spirit be with you and carry you through this difficult time.

To Lu Anne and your entire family, I am so saddened by Bruce's passing. He was one of the kindest, wisest and most honorable people I have ever known. He made the lives of so many of us better just by knowing him. I know how proud you are of his remarkable legacy. Your family is in our prayers.

I really loved this guy. Our prayers are with the family at this time of grief. I am going to miss the conversations we had together. Our country has lost a wonderful and a very smart human being that sincerely loved his wife, family and his ward members. He taught me so much. Tony Escobar.
