1962 - 2017
David Shane Helm passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 19, 2017. He grew up with a love of sports and excelled in wrestling as well as football. As an adult, David was an avid outdoorsman whose love of hunting, fishing and camping was outweighed only by the love he had for his friends and family. David will always be remembered fondly for his contagious laughter and his willingness to help anyone in need. David was a strong willed person who never complained and went through life with a smile on his face.
David is survived by his wife Lori and their children Cort Helm, Brittni (Cody) Hasson, Chattni (Nate) Winter, Bronson Helm and Chase Hasson, parents David and Peggy Helm and sister Tammy Litsheim.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the South Jordan 4th Ward, 2550 West 9800 South. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy and on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services at the church.
