I was saddened to hear of Dave's passing, but having spoken with him earlier this year, I know how difficult this battle was. As always, Dave did his very best.

It was a distinct pleasure to have known this bright, honorable and wonderful man.

We enjoyed professional challenges together, but we always enjoyed each other' s friendhip as well. We are all poorer for having lost Dave.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss.

Dave became a friend with the merger of Pacific Northwest Pipeline and El Paso Natural Gas Company.

We worked on many pipeline valuation issues, on many committees and at the Wichita State University sponsored Public Utilities Workshop over the years. I enjoyed working with him.

We mourn with you at your loss. Your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I came to know Dave from his teaching at the annual property tax school on Public Utilities in Wichita, Kansas. We shared classes, golf and many great meals there.

Since 2002, and up until his illness, I had the privilege to work with Dave in annual pipeline valuations on newly aquired multi-state pipeline systems. I enjoyed working with Dave in the developement and implementation of values in various western states. In many cases, it was the first time that our company owned property in these states and David made a tremendous impact with our valuation negotiations. He was very talented at what he did and always represented himself with the highest of standards, professionalism and passion.

Dave was always so full of life and could match anyone with a life experience that would make everyone feel comfortable and optomistic while in his company. I will miss him and I wish his family the best as they remember him and take his light forward.

We have know Dave for over twenty years. First when he was working as the property tax manager for Northwest Pipelines and then as an independent appraiser. Dave was a very honest man---in a profession that does not always reward honesty. He would not compromise his standards.

Dave was also blessed with a quick and insightful mind. He was a property appraiser's model of how to tackle difficult problems and create workable solutions.

Dave was a very good teacher. His classes at the annual appraisal school in Kansas were prepared with care and delivered with class and style. He was an excellent teacher.

He was also enjoyable to be around. Dave made every meeting more fun and helped them seem less burdensome.

It was clear he also had a deep love for his family.

We will all miss David. He was a good friend and example to all.
