A fine, friendly and gracious John Donahue, was who I met back in year the 2001, when his brother Matt and I visited Salt Lake City. It is unreal that he is gone now! May the beautiful memory of him stay with his friends, family and his two beautiful sons. May he rest in peace with angels guarding by his side.

I was a former client and friend of John's; he helped me after his dear friend and colleague Gordon Jensen passed away. I would run into John occasionally over the past several years and he never forgot me. He was so kind and gracious, I always thought very highly of him. He was a wonderful attorney who showed genuine compassion for his clients and a stand-up guy. I will miss him dearly.

Family and Friends,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of such a fine man. I was happy to call him friend during his years at Weber State, and what a joy he was to be around. I hadn't thought about him in years when I started searching today. My heart is saddened but I feel honored to have known him.

Wow, I am just so sad to learn of John's death. I have great memories of cruisin' around Maumee/Toledo with him on Friday nights in high school. He was so much fun and had a great spirit. I especially remember a trip several of us made to Akron, OH where he was mistaken for Peter Frampton (at least that's how I remeber it!)

John was a first rate lawyer and a gentlemen. I always appreciated his pleasant disposition and his ability to see the good in others. He was a lover of golf and zealously represented his injured clients. He will be missed by all of us who had the privilege to practice law or play a round of golf with him.

In 20 years of friendship, John enriched my life in a way few people have. I am so grateful for the memories--now more than ever. We spent a lot of time reminiscing in the past year, but I enjoyed hearing about his boys most. We agreed there is no greater joy than being a parent. For all who loved John, I offer the words of Henry Scott Holland:
"Death is nothing at all. It does not count. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again."

John and I met over a fortune cookie when he was still a law clerk. We shared some special times (many moons ago). I remember how fondly he spoke of his parents and I have no doubt he was a great father to his sons. I was shocked to learn of his passing, but I'm convinced he has found a pristine green at this point. God Bless his family during this sorrowful time. My prayers are with you.

Deb, Alex, Connor and the Donahue Family,

My deepest heartfelt condonlences to you all. I am Truly Sorry to hear of John's passing.
John and I first met while cutting his hair back in his Law School days. Needless to say we have shared alot of life with one another. In all the things John did and went through in his life, the one constant thing he shared with me was how much he Loved his Boys ! How proud they made him feel !
John my Friend,
I'm Sorry you are longer with us any more. It was truly an Honor to know you and share life with you and more importantly the Honor of calling you my Friend. As Mr. Durante would say " Thanks for the Memories. "

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

God Speed to you John !!!
