Michael William Tolman passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in Woods Cross, Utah at the age of 62. He was born 17 Mar 1953 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William Odell and Opal Adams Tolman. He moved with his family to Spanish Fork, Provo and Bountiful, Utah. He was very active in sports, particularly football. He was a member of the varsity team at Bountiful High School as a Sophomore. A highlight in his schooling took place in June 1971 when he flew to Hawaii with his art instructor and other students to make drawings of the local scenery. Two of his favorite pass times were fishing and golfing, which he usually enjoyed with his oldest brother or close friends. Michael was the coordinator for a regular Monday evening of golf in Bountiful and enjoyed participating in tournaments in and out of the state. He loved working with his hands and spent his adult life in construction, taking great pride in the quality of his work in new construction and remodeling. He was an avid learner and loved the historical and nature channels of television. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister Janice. Surviving siblings are John O. (Joan) Tolman, Shirlene Tolman, Loraine T. (Alfred L.) Pace III, Darrel W. (Barbara) Tolman, Loretta T. (Deloy) Thueson and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main in Bountiful. Prior to the service, friends and relatives may meet with the family at the Mortuary from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Interment at the East Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Provo.
