Nicholas John Cornish

1962 ~ 2021

Nick Cornish returned to be with Heavenly parents on December 15, 2021 at 6:50am at the age of 59. He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Kim Jensen-Cornish. He is lovingly remembered by his sons; Tyler Cornish and Tristan Cornish his step-sons; Christopher Hock (Courtney), Spencer Hock (Lauryn), Taylor Hock, Kendal Jensen and his siblings Ian Cornish (Ginger), Wendy Philbrick (Paul), Michelle Sepos (Carl) and Jackie Meik.

Nick was born on June 4th, 1962 to Joy and John Cornish in Salt Lake City, Utah, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law; Stephanie Cornish.

Nick worked as a Dialysis Tech and progressed to become a corporate Bio Med using his masterful skills at repairing anything and everything. He knew the business well, as he went through all aspects of kidney failure and transplant. Nick's two sons were a joy in his life and he was very proud of them. Later he met and married his best friend, Kim Jensen. They built their home together in Davis County.

Nick was a motorcycle enthusiast, and rode from a very early age. He became a talented rider and influenced many others to do the same. He loved sport touring and rode across the country and into Canada with his good friends John Wright and Robert Meik. Nick loved Yamahas specifically, and owned two, which were his pride and joy and he could be found summer or winter tinkering with them in his garage. Nick had many happy experiences boating at Lake Powell with his family. He loved the water and was a natural swimmer and athlete at water sports. Nick loved music of almost any type and enjoyed sharing new tunes with anyone. Nick was a lover of animals and was often seen befriending dogs wherever he went. Nick was always to be found doing odd projects and helping others with theirs. He would help anyone at anytime. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tease those he cared for.

There was a side of Nick that not many knew because he was a very private person. He loved his Heavenly Father and was a man of deep spiritual conviction and active in the LDS Church his entire life. His faith grew during his last years as he prepared to return home. Nick suffered from kidney failure for most of his life and put up a great fight to remain with those he loves. He developed a quiet strength that was an example to all. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held starting at 3:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home located at 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah. Prior to the service a viewing will held from 2:00-2:45 pm.
