I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Orley. I have not met him. I have only read about the family while compiling our family history. I recognize a lot of the names mentioned and I would love to hear from you.

"Uncle" Orley always had an open door...to his heart and to his home. Orley was in our lives for 40 years; first, as my dad's co-worker at Kennecott and, later, as my dad's neighbor at Legacy Village.
Visiting Orley was always "fruitful" as he shared his apples and oranges. I will miss teasing Orley by turning the bears (at his apartment entrance) around to let him know that I had been past his home.
Heaven is brighter as Orley is re-united with his loving wife, family and friends!

All our love to David, Brian and Jeanne as well as Barbara, Richard, Lola and Arlene including Glen and Margie during this time of sorrow for the loss of their father/brother. As a niece of Uncle Orley, I feel that I have been a recipient of his love and generousity. It was always fun to go to the Stapley home and partake of delicious food Uncle Orley created and the warm atmosphere the family provided. He contributed much to his family with his unselfish love and acts of kindness to all. The wonderful attributes of this man helped to shape the lives of his children making them the loving and caring individuals they have become. The door to the Stapley home was always open to friends, relatives and neighbors. Patrick and I share the feelings Sandy and Jack expressed of Uncle Orley's generousity and service to others. We will always have a warm feeling in our hearts when we remember Uncle Orley. Love, Patrick and Linda Dougherty

Dear Stapley family,
My family and I are saddened to hear of "uncle" Orley's passing. I know my dad really enjoyed working with him and having his company on the old security force at Kennecott for those many years and many years after as well. We will all miss his witty humor and bright attitude toward life.

Jeanne, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I remember helping him clean up after the kitchen fire years ago - he was such a kind and gracious man. May God bless you and your family in this moment of sorrow.
