Randall Wells Obituary

Randall Wayne Wells
Sept. 19, 1975 ~ Feb. 25, 2017
Randall "Randy" Wayne Wells, 41, of Sandy, passed from this life to the next doing what he loved with his two favorite travel buddies, son Asher (8) and daughter Sarah (3) on Feb 25, 2017. Randy was born in Rexburg, ID, on September 19, 1975, to Marion and Shauna Wells. He was the second of seven children and grew up in Kirtland, NM. Randy was a natural athlete and participated in football, wrestling, and track. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman. He was devoted to his LDS faith, serving a mission in the Washington Tacoma Mission and currently serving as the Bishop of his ward. Randy attended Utah Valley University. Randy married Kristin Camilla Gillette on June 19, 2004, in the Manti, UT LDS temple. Together they have three beautiful children, Asher Omni, Sarah Pearl, and baby girl.
Randy was a country boy through and through. He used his gifts to bless anyone who needed his help. He was a 24/7 one-man rescue crew to anyone in distress. He was known for dropping everything, at all hours of the day or night to the mountains he would climb and the highways he would travel to find them. But even more importantly, Randy was one of Christ's chosen rescuers to calm the troubled minds and hearts of numberless friends and family. As a welder, Randy produced beautiful works of art in homes throughout the valley and spanning many states. He always had an invention he was working on and helped provide necessary equipment in the medical field and in the simple needs of society. He was continually being approached by friends with inventive ideas that he could, one day, make a reality.
Randy's role as the best husband and father was uncontested. You never saw Randy without his kids. He fully embraced the life of a farm boy, while Kristin fully embraced that of a city girl, and together they surpassed all that life is expected to offer. Because of this, their love of their worlds and their love of each other, created a 100-year packed life for their children. Their home was an amusement park where Asher and Sarah could live out, daily, every kid's dream. There isn't anything Randy wouldn't do for Kristin. While Kristin aches at the pain of their separation, she is fully determined to support their eternal mission and promise to "always come back" to each other and be together once again.
Kristin would like to thank all of the searchers and volunteers whose commitment went beyond comprehension.
Randy is survived by his wife, Kristin, their expectant baby girl, his wonderful parents Marion and Shauna Wells, siblings Brad Wells (Katie), Heidi Stewart (Darren), Alena Johnson (Andrew), Scott Wells (Lindsay), Rebecca Ugalde (Daniel), and Melissa Thellmann (Cory), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Even though we lefted the ward a little after Randy was made Bishop, I felt a total love coming from him, when I had some one on one talks with him. He was among the best help I had in dealing with my sons death and bringing me out of a dark place. I will always be thankful for Randy and the help he gave me, Our prayers are with his wife and extended family, that they may have the strength to deal with this
