Thank you, Bob, for saving our family back in 1968, when you took on a three year custody battle to rescue three young children who had improperly been taken from their mother in a political decision by a Utah District Court.
All three of these children now have families of their own and are active Church members, thanks to your hard work and to our Utah Supreme Court.
If we are worthy enough to someday pass to the place where you are now, we look forward to seeing you again and renewing our long friendship. with you..
Thank you again.

Blaine, Elder Hansen is how I knew you while we served in the Philippines. It is with sadness that I noted the passing of your father. I trust that the Lord's Comforter will help you in this difficult time and the the "brighter day" will come soon.

I was an assistant attorney general during part of Bob's time with that office, and I was later a legislator while he was the Attorney General. I liked and respected Bob a lot. He was a man of deep conviction and good will. I appreciated that we could disagree about opinions or the law with mutual respect. That is pretty rare in today's politics. I am so very sorry for your family's loss.

Uncle Bob was my favorite uncle. While we didn't get together often(he and his family living in Utah and my family in California), he always kept current on our comings and goings and showed a genuine interest in our lives. Whenever we did get together, his primary interest was to be sure everyone was involved and having fun (I especially remember the trip to Tahoe and Bob talking a canoe rental shop into renting us boats after they closed). Growing up, visits with Bob were always something we looked forward to with keen anticipation.
When my dad died (his brother), Bob was a huge source of help and comfort for my family. Later still, when my mom died, Bob was a great help to me and my brothers. His assistance and help during those times will always be so appreciated and valued.
I treasure my memories of Bob and I extend my heartfelt condolences to Jean, his children and grandchildren.
