Wayne Twitchell Obituary

Wayne Roger Twitchell passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 16, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born November 15, 1963 in Bountiful, Utah to Grant Lynn and Doris Bridget Twitchell. He graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1982. After high school he proudly served in the United States Army for 5 years. He married Mary Ann Boelter on September 18, 2001 in Salt Lake City, UT. Wayne worked as a union electrician for the IBEW 354 as well as Local 57 for over 30 years. Wayne loved being an electrician, he was very skilled in his job and was very generous in giving help to anyone. He was a true friend who always had your back. Wayne was the life of the party, and the master at telling jokes and stories. Our hearts are deeply saddened with his passing, and he will be greatly missed.

Wayne is survived by his mother Doris, wife Mary Ann, his four children Brayden (Sarah), Mackenzie, Hayden, Karlee and four granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Grant Lynn and two brothers, Brian and Gary.

A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 P.M. Saturday April 23, 2022, at the LDS Church located at 1465 West Bristol Ridge Road, West Jordan, UT. 84088.

We are heartbroken to hear about our friend Wayne´s sudden passing. We got to know him when we were doing a home remodeling project. Wayne was a true craftsman, took great pride in his work was highly opinionated and always willing to share a humorous slant on his views on life. Most of all he was a joy to be around.

Rest In Peace

Wayne was number six of seven of the Twitchell boys. When we would leave the house, Mom and Dad would always tell us to stay out of trouble. With five older brothers, you would think Wayne would learn that. Oh no! He would tell Mom and Dad what he was going to do, then do it. He learned lot of things the hard way. But he was one of the most giving people I knew. He would help anybody, anywhere, anytime. He loved his family, his job, and his co-workers. He could tell a story like nobody I knew, maybe it was the faces he made while telling his stories. He was funny, loving, and wildly inappropriate, but he was our brother, we love him, and he will be missed!

Tough to see this today. I´ll never forget when you walked into class our first day and ripped the plastic off your workbook right in front of the teacher. Was supposed to have the first 3 lessons completed. Classic Twitchell! Rest In Peace brother and friend! You will be missed!

Wayne was a great man. He made my first couple of years in the trade enjoyable and I learned innumerable lessons from him about work and life. I was sad to hear about his passing. I will definitely never forget him. Rest in peace, Viper, and thanks for your friendship.

Wayne was one of my favorite journeyman to work with. He loved to laugh and tell stories. He taught me how to bend conduit and to those who worked with him he was a master craftsman and took great pride in his work. I even came up with his slogan to run for local 354 business manager.... "If you got an itch vote for Twitch!" It was definitely his favorite joke I made up. Seeing this hit me hard today, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I could never thank Wayne enough for hooking me up with the love of my life - Jeff Tanner back in 1985. Love to all of Wayne's family in this time of loss.
