ANTHONY SPRAGUE Obituary

Born October 16, 1938 Anthony E. Sprague succumbed to Calcified Aortic Disease on October 01, 2011 at his home in Barstow, CA. He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad, Esperanza and Edgar Sprague, Brother Richard Sprague, Brothers-In-Law Donald Schuff, Stephen Bly, and David Hart. Though greatly missed, all his loved ones are thankful that Anthony is now free of discomfort and in the presence of his Lord Jesus Christ. Anthony owed a debt of gratitude to the friendships and relationships formed during his 21 years working for the MCCS here in Barstow, CA. His family wants to thank Dr. Ravindra Gautam, the Desert Cities Dialysis Center and VA Loma Linda along with all of their entire staff for valuing Anthony and ensuring he received the best in complete medical care. He was immensely blessed and tremendously proud of each of his children and their spouses for the adults they became: Laura Sprague (Paul), Darla White (Tony), Todd Sprague (Michelle), Steven Sprague (Holly), Brandon Stephenson (Aniko), and Katrina Sprague. Then when you think things couldn't get any better his children leveled up his life with 9 precious Grandchildren: Alison Gale Lotspeich, Marley Angel Aguilera, Justice Antonio Aguilera, Joshua Anthony White, Nicholas Wayne White, Zachary Charles Ponsetto Sprague, Noah Jacob Sprague, Kamryn Hope Sprague, and Victor Banon Sprague. He is survived by two Sisters; Judy Schuff, Gloria (Jerry) Jones, and his brother Michael Sprague. To navigate this thing called life he had his partner, friend, wife, and probably the greatest recipient of his creativity Donnalynn Sprague. The family requests in lieu of flowers, or gifts that you might choose to donate amongst these three of our favorite organizations; The Samaritans Purse https://www. samaritanspurse.org/ index.php/Giving/ Project_Donations/; The Joshua Fund https://www. joshuafund.net/ index.php/donate or The Epilepsy Center, 6185 Magnolia Ave., Ste. 63, Riverside, CA 92506 Military Burial site to be announced. We will so miss this man.

I am an Admin Support Clerk on MCLB and have worked with Anthony for over two years. I had not known him for long compared to a lot of my co-workers but long enough for him to make an impression on me. Anthony was always helpful and had a welcoming grin on his face. I enjoyed working with him as well as the talks we had about eachother's families. He is dearly missed! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Anthony was a friend to the Barstow Boys & Girls Club PRCA Rodeo. He was so kind and helpful when I worked with him on our contract with the MCLB. He always made time to visit about our lives and he was so proud of his family. My prayers are with you all. May he rest in peace.

Even though we only shared 25 years of married life (six in separation from each other) and had four great children, I have always loved Anthony. Thank you Donnalynn for the love and care you gave to him. I too will miss him. Allene

Donna and Family, My heart goes out to all of you. I enjoyed working with Anthony here at Marine Corps Community Services, and I do miss him. It saddens me that he did not get to enjoy his retirement. I know that I will see him again someday. God Bess each and everyone of you, his family that he so dearly loved.

I am so touched by what is written here because it does encompass who Anthony was as a man, husband, dad, grandfather and friend. I am thankful to have been his sister-in-law and was always welcomed by him no matter when we showed up! While we hurt from his leaving us,. we rejoice in knowing this is NOT the end of the story. We will see him again and what a glorious day that will be! Blessings to you all, Connie Sue & Elliot
