My memories of Andy at Younker Rehab always make me smile. I know he and Sue are yucking it up together now. What a gift he was to all of us and although I know your grief is great, know he was a treasure he was to each of us who knew him. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of his life. Andy was an inspiration to all of us in the Village family. He was always so positive and could make a friend of anyone with that great smile. We will always remember Andy and his great sense of humor and outgoing personality. We share in your loss, but rejoice in knowing that the Good Lord has called Andy home because He has great plans for him.

I would always call him Andrew, and he would always correct me, and say "Andy", so when his birthday rolled around my gift to him was to call him Andy all day. I referred to him as Mr. 8 layers, and we always counted the many layers of clothing he would be wearing for the day. It was always a party each month when we did the weights and he put on a few pounds. He will be missed very much, my love and prayers go out to his family.

Gilligan always had a smile on his face and was a joy to be around. I am lucky to have met him. Thoughts and prayers for Carol & family.

Carol and family, as I read through the guest book, the one striking statement is always about Andy and his smile. This great gift was special to Andy and he was so willing to share it with everyone he knew or met. I can think of no greater tribute to this wonderful young man, then for people to feel so blessed by his smile. While losing Andy is such a great loss for everyone, I hope the memories he has been able to provide will always be a comforting memory for you and your family. Joyce & Darrel Webb, Waukee, IA

Carol...I'm in Florida now, having moved here, hurriedly, following the fracture of my right hip and rehab at Fleur Heights, and then referral to a rehab facility here. This is the first time I've had access to one of my daughter's computers. ANd I am so sorry to hear about Andy's death! He was such a seemingly happy and always such friendly guy. I'm sure you will miss him.
My sympathies to you.

I will miss Andy so much! As a 3 year volunteer at New Horizons, I was honored to get to know him and loved his attitude and witty sense of humor. Andy, I will always "see" you walking the halls of NH, always replying to my "Andy" as I pointed to you and your "Pat" as you pointed back. My sympathies to the family.

Carol and Paul - It has been many years since I have seen Andy. Even though I knew it was right for him to move closer to his family, he had become part of the Village family too and I missed his smile and nutty sense of humor. I still have a picture of him and I on the bulletin board. My sympathy to your family. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet Andy and work with him at TTC.

Andy lightened a room with his smile. I enjoyed his one liners and his love of Oreo cookies. Support groups in the future will definitely be missing a shining star, but I know he will be shining down on us. We are all blessed for spending time with Andy.

Praying for Andy's family.. I was one of the first people he remembered when I took care of him at IMMC shortly after he had his brain injury. The look on his face smiling and yelling at me Debbie Kauzlarich over and over was priceless since he was having such a difficult time with his memory!! To watch him and care for him at IMMC was wonderful watching all his progress he was making. I saw him throughout the last 10 years and he still remembered me. I will miss him dearly. Condolences to the family. Deb Kauzlarich Nairn
