ELIZABETH RANDOLPH
Ankeny
Elizabeth Ann Fitz Randolph, 82, died of complications from pneumonia Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was born on June 29, 1928 to Lewis and Alice Randolph in Ankeny.
Elizabeth worked hard on the family farm, loved horses and sang in the church choir for 40 years. During her high school years, Elizabeth was a member of a 6 on 6 basketball team where she played as a guard.
Elizabeth is survived by her older sister, Dora Amundson of Idaho; a niece, Karen Hawkins; and nephew, Craig Hawkins both of Ankeny; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11: a.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Ankeny, 206 SW Walnut with burial to follow at Greenwood Friends Cemetery in Ankeny. Friends may visit with family one hour prior to service time at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ankeny in loving memory of Elizabeth.
