Joseph Randolph Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Linnemann Funeral Home - Erlanger on Mar. 27, 2026.
All people die, but not all truly live. Joe lived!

Joseph T. Randolph was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Joseph T Randolph, Sr. and Lola M. Courts, and was raised on a farm in Bracken County, Kentucky. A graduate of Bracken County High School , he earned a music scholarship to the University of Kentucky, where he played trumpet in the band. His education was interrupted by proud service in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later returned to complete his business degree.

Joe dedicated 35 years to General Motors, working as a Production Supervisor and Labor Relations Officer in Ohio, California, and Michigan before returning to Kentucky. He was a devoted member of Florence Vineyard Church for 20 years.

He shared 37 loving years of marriage with his wife, Judy Fryman. He is survived by his sister, Mary Jo Meyer, his children, Becky (Dave) Swain and Michael (Lauren) Randolph; and his grandchildren, Alfred, Louis, and Naomi.

Joe had a deep love for the outdoors, music, and sports. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, camping, and reading, and was a passionate fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Red Wings, and NASCAR.. A talented musician, he played multiple instruments and loved bluegrass, folk, and country music.

Joe will be remembered for his quick wit, warmth, and infectious laughter, as well as the grace and courage he showed throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 18, 2026 , from 5:00PM to 9:00PM with military honors at 5:30PM , at the Clubhouse at Wood Springs Apartment Complex, 550 Mt. Zion Rd., Florence, KY.
