Joshua Nelson Obituary
Des Moines
Joshua Dean Nelson, 23, passed away Sunday, July 19th after a fatal motorcycle accident. He was born August 21, 1991 to Shelli Nelson and Eugene Marcum. Joshua was a handsome, outgoing young man. He loved his family and friends with a passion. He loved to ride his motorcycle and be around his friends. He was a motivator and giant inspiration. Joshua touched people's hearts across the globe. He was strong minded and wasn't afraid to show it.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Shelli Nelson; father, Eugene Marcum; stepfather, Victor Nelson; stepmother, Candee Marcum; brothers: Zac Curry, Isaac Nelson, Joe Marcum and Jake Marcum; nieces and nephews: Zac Curry II, Avery Marcum, Brandon Marcum, and Gracie Marcum; and his beautiful dog, Goldie.
His wonderful spirit will be celebrated on Friday, July 24th at 1 p.m. at Merle Hay Funeral Home with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. His family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, at Merle Hay Funeral Home.

my whole life i grew up with you guys and have had the honor of knowing and being a part of your lives, my deepest condolences to this family in this time of loss. i love you guys very much and josh you left too early bro! you will deeply be missed with your positive attitude and bright smile no one will ever be able to replace! fly high and watch over everyone during this sad time as we remember what an awesome man you were!!
