"Jigger" Jarnagin Jr. on August 1, 1964, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Des Moines. She later married Dennis L. Baumgardner on March 15, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV. Kathy worked for Dowling Catholic High School during the late 70's and into the mid 80's in the Development/Alumni office. She later worked for the Friends of Iowa Public Television Foundation from 1989 until she retired in 2014, as an Information Systems Specialist. She came out of retirement to work for them again in 2015.

Kathy was a long time member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and the Elks Lodge. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, Facebook, playing cards, going to the band and orchestra concerts of her grandchildren, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Kathy was my second cousin on my dad's side. A sweet person and fun to be around. I fondly remember sitting at her mom's house on Granger, eating Italian cookies and laughing till our sides hurt. Always gracious and will be sorely missed by all of her Colacino cousins. RIP! God bless.

I am so sad in hearing of Kathy's passing. I have known Kathy for years. I work for Allegiance Software in Fargo, ND, which is the software Kathy used at Friends/Iowa. All of us at Allegiance thought of Kathy as a super user of our software. She was so smart and so fun to work with.

I was in Des Moines last fall to work with Friends/Iowa. I got to see Kathy and go out to dinner with her. I am SO glad we did that. I was impressed with Kathy's strength and frame of mind during her struggle. During dinner we had such a good time laughing and remember so many years of working together. She had such a great laugh. I will never, ever forget it. God Bless Kathy. God Bless your whole family. God has another angel by his side.

My prayers and the love of God are with all of you at this time of loss. I went to school with Kathy at St Joeseph Academy, but lost contact after high school. Recently visited with her at the hi-school monthly luncheons, she was always so pleasant to visit with. God be with you all and much peace to Kathy

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Kathy all through grade school and high school. We had a lot of fun together going to the dances and hanging out. I lost touch after high school, but reconnected recently at our high school luncheons. She was a lovely person and everyone who knew her will miss her.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I have been staying in touch with Kathy over the years and had hoped to fly out for a family reunion. She was wonderful in giving me information about my grandfather and her brother Clyde and other information about the Salvato family. She will be missed.
