Kathy Kay Michael, 60, of West Des Moines, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2016 surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1421 Buffalo Rd, West Des Moines. A visitation will take place on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Tonini Funeral Home, 2135 SW 9th, Des Moines.

She was born on December 5, 1955 to John and Helen Campbell. Kathy was one of eleven children. She enjoyed telling stories and reminiscing through old photographs. She loved her faith, and she instilled that strong faith into her children. Kathy's family was everything to her.

Kathy is survived by her children, Mindi Michael (Marvin); Natallie (Matt) Florer; Kati Michael (Brian); James (Lanet) Michael; and McKenzie Michael; grandchildren, Albert Spring, Aria Michael, and Brennan Warren; siblings, David (Jerri) Campbell, Becky Petersen (Larry), Marilyn (Craig) Potthoff, Linda (Ron) Ripper, Cindy (Don) Young, Jerry Campbell, and Kristie Hadley (Jim); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Campbell; brothers, Johnney Campbell and Randy Campbell, and sister, Judy Erickson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
