Lori Hackett Obituary
Des Moines
Lori Ann Hackett, 58, born in Des Moines, IA on September 28, 1956, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Throughout her life, Lori found her greatest joy in spending time with family, friends and treasured pets, as well as building and caring for her beautiful flower gardens.
Lori is survived by husband Mark Hackett, daughter Jami (Mike) Rodgers and children Dylan, Madison and Lauren Rodgers; daughter Jessica (Sean) Henely and children Jack and Luke Henely; son John Waugh and children Carter and Natalie Waugh. Lori is also survived by sisters Gayle (Pat) Patterson of Edmund, OK and Judy (Dave) Bequeaith of Des Moines.
Lori was preceded in death by her father Ferdinand Statler, parents Ed and Marian Mercer, as well as by her sister, Sue Titus.
A celebration of Lori's life will take place at The Inn at Summerset Winery in Indianola, IA on October 25, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made on Lori's behalf to the Animal Rescue League or Make-a-Wish.

I'm so sorry for your loss !! I have a lot of good memories with Lori working at fedex and all of us girls taking trips down to KC!! I know she loved her family so much and she will be greatly missed!! Thoughts and prayers to all of you!!! Rip Lori

I really enjoyed her friendship even thou we lost track of each other, she was a beautiful person. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.She will always be here.

I am so sorry to hear of Lori's passing. I have not seen Lori in a long time but I remember her laugh and what a great person she was from our time we worked together at Yellow Freight. She is at peace now and no more suffering. My thoughts and prayers to her family
