Michael Proffitt Obituary

Michael E. Proffitt, 66, was born March 28, 1949 and passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Tamera Martin; children, Nick Brokaw, Mason Proffitt, Bill Linn, Melodie (Todd) Polansky, Ryan (Jessica) Proffitt, and Savannah Proffitt; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rebecca Sue Proffitt and Samuel Proffitt and parents, Walter and Shirley Vestal.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Longest Yard, 122 5th Street, West Des Moines, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Full obituary may be viewed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

So many memories,Mike played bass guitar in the band (Maxx Band)best live band still to this day I've ever heard. I'm just hearing today 10-3-23 of his passing in 2-28-16.This saddens me so much.He was always so much fun. Always...My heart goes out to Tammy and his family.Last time I seen him he played at Silver Spur in Centerville.My hearts broke.Tammy if you see this my heart goes out to you,I know you still hurt deeply.He was always happy and fun.
