Pamela Gooch, 69, of Des Moines passed away February 3 at home. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, February 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd. in Clive.

Pam was born September 25, 1942 in Minneapolis. She grew up in Iowa and graduated from Pleasantville high school. She worked for Ruan in Des Moines for 26 years. Pamela loved to read, cook and spend time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Terrie (Brian) Nebel and Mike Steinmetz; grandchildren, Lance, Ryan, Max, Justin, and Audrianna; siblings, Karen Brown of Cal., Sharon Hiatt and Randy Gooch both of Pleasantville, and Robin (Rick) Wilson of Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Robert Gooch.

Memorials may be directed to the Lung Cancer Association or Iowa Hospice

I just saw this notice this morning. I worked with Pam for a number of years at Ruan. In the technical support space, she was always a patient person helping people to solve their problems. To her family, may you be comforted at this time and know that your Mom brought good to the world whatever she did.
