Robert Paul Anthofer, 42, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016, in Liberty, MO. Memorial Gathering will be held November 4, 2016, at Westover Funeral Home with a Memorial Remembrance Service at 3:00 PM.

Robert was born August 24, 1974, in Des Moines, IA, to Paul and Sandra (Johnson) Anthofer. In 1993 he graduated from Urbandale High School. He then attended Kirkwood Community College and completed his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Iowa in 2003. He lived in Marion, IA where his two children Alexyis and Jaiden were born. He then moved to Liberty, MO where he met and married Sabrina (Karnes) Anthofer in Las Vegas on March 3, 2012.

Robert worked as a social worker, parole officer, and a youth service coordinator in Iowa and Missouri for over 20 years. He was very passionate in his work with troubled youth. He loved animals and having pets. Bob was an avid sports fan, especially the Vikings, and spent many hours coaching his children in different activities.

Robert is survived by his parents and wife, Sabrina Anthofer, daughter, Alexyis Anthofer; son, Jaiden Anthofer; step daughter, Bailey Sherman; step son, Brodey Sherman; sister, Christine Pagano Hartshorn of Urbandale, IA; brother, John J (Meg) Anthofer of Urbandale, IA; grandmother, Dorothy M Johnson; and many loving aunts, uncles, and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence "Pat" Johnson, grandfather, Michael George Anthofer, Sr., and grandmother, Theresa Anthofer.
