Joe was one of my first bosses at Union Pacific Railroad. He was a very kind man and I truly enjoyed working for him.

Joe was a respected and pleasant colleague. His work was important, although not glamorous. He helped the railroad reduce its costs through abandonments and line sales to become more competitive.He combined a quiet competence with a willingness to pitch in and help. I enjoyed working with him.
