FREDERICK BAROTH Obituary

Age 75, of Elkhart, Indiana, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 in his son Jim Baroth's home. Born October 29, 1929, Detroit, Michigan to Frederick and Jenny (Randall) Baroth. In 1950 married Lois J. Dueweke (d. 1968) in Detroit. He later married Nancy Kay Whittaker (d. 2001) in Harper Woods. Surviving are son Jim (Rhonda) Baroth, Osceola, IN; daughters, Geri (Jim) Mielke, St. Clair Shores, Julie (Bob) Finegan, Palm Springs, California, Cathy (Joel) Jackson, Phoenix, Arizona, and Janet (Mike) Johnson, Fenton; 14 grandchildren and one sister Barbara (Andy) Owens, Dearborn Heights. He is preceded in death by son Jeffery G. Baroth and sister Mariam Riggins. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home & Crematory. with Services on Thursday at 1 p.m. Officiated by Rev. Carl Henry of Northside Baptist Church. Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services with Military Rites by Elkhart DAV Chapter #19. Frederick retired from Budd Company in Detroit, where he was employed for 16 years as a tool and die maker. Fred enjoyed painting, doing crossword puzzles, working in his yard and spending time with his friends at The Firehouse Restaurant & Lounge, Elkhart. He was a Veteran of the US Army, Korea. Memorials to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County/Emphysemia Foundation.
