Jason's was the only Bris and Bar Mitzvah we ever attended. We thought of ourselves as your token Gentiles and loved celebrating these special occasions in Jason's life. We also have enjoyed looking at his Every Person in New York book. It is a project celebrating the joy of life. Our hearts are breaking for you and you are constantly in my prayers. We love you very much. Nancy & Harry and family

I only know Jason through his work, which I adored. The other day I went to a book store on 86th Street to look at his drawings for a boost of inspiration. I could always count on him for that. I loved the way the captured dogs, dog walkers and ordinary people going about their business. His MoMA inspired me to do the same at other museums. He was also the inspiration for a small project of my own called "Classic 90s," about extraordinary people in their late 80s and 90s. I accompanied each three-paragraph description of a person with a sketch. I have a small following on FB. My father died on 4 Jan. He was 92 and had lived a full life. The sadness is like a cloak. But to think that Jason left the world so soon has added to my sadness; this is simply because his bright spirit reflected in his drawings was a part of me. I totally got Jason. I will miss him. My sincere condolences to your family.
