Phyllis Norton Obituary

NORTON

PHYLLIS L. Age 88, a long-time resident of Royal Oak, died March 19, 2017. She was born September 22, 1928 in Detroit to Harvey and Freeda Webb. Mrs. Norton graduated from Southeastern High in Detroit and had worked for Superior Fish in Royal Oak and Ferndale Youth Assistance. She was a china painter and teacher for over 50 years. Surviving are her sons, Paul A (Dena) Norton of Ferndale and Harvey C. Norton of Madison Heights; grandson, Isaac; and brothers-in-law, Joe Gardner of Atlanta, Georgia and Claude Norton of Grand Ledge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1985 and by her sister Barbara Gardner in 1999. Visitation Friday 2-8 p.m. Funeral Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak. Burial Forest Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
