What I will remember most about Abel is his deep compassion for those he loved. He had unconditional love for his entire family to include his parents, siblings nieces and nephews and all the others. He spoke very highly of his family and loved to tell stories of growing up with such a large family. When he spoke of someone in his family you knew that he knew them as an individual too. Abel was the same with people that he held dear to his heart as well, both Russ his long time companion and his new friends too such as Charlie come to mind of those he spoke of most. Abel was very passionate about his dogs and had a keen talent for the arts. So it was family friends and animals that brought such joy to Abel while he was here on this earth. And I trust he will have these same wonderful qualities about him on his new journey.

I would like to extend a special Thank You to everyone for the wonderful expressions that have been shared about Sonny's life. Sonny definitely touched many lives and hearts thru his and our journey together.
Lois, Jerry, Leah, Roni and Murray, a special Thank You for the extra support you've shown.
To our dear friend Karen, you have shown so much love, support, and extra kindness thru everything. I know Sonny thanks you and appreciated everything you did for us. I love and thank you dearly.
To everyone at my work, thank you for your extra support during this time.
To his family, I know that the love you have for your son, brother, and uncle was unconditional. And he loved his family with all his heart.
As our dear friend Rhonda shared, Sonny was many things at different times, and had the gift to make people smile and laugh. He was definitely many characters, but that is what made Sonny, ..well SONNY!
Our life together was like a roller coaster ride (which he loved), with all the twists and turns. It was a remarkable ride that I never wanted to end.
I will miss everything about Sonny, but most of all I will miss his smile and the comfort of having him at home.
Please join me in celebrating his life at the Blue Mesa Grill off University in Ft. Worth, from 2pm - 4pm on Saturday, January 26th.
A memorial bench in Abel's (Sonny's) name will be placed in River Legacy Park. Donation towards it will be accepted.
Where ever a beautiful soul has been...
...a lasting impression remains.
Sonny, I will love you always and forever you will be in my heart.

Sonny was a dear, sweet friend. Yesterday, (I don't know why) I found myself remembering how he would always throw his tie over his shoulder whenever he had to lift something or was counting out the cash register. It made me smile. He had a way of making people smile. I will always remember and treasure our talks at the counter at the Sampler so many years ago. It makes me sad to think about the funny way he envisioned himself as an old man (pants pulled up to his armpits) and that he never got the chance to be that silly old man. I will miss his smile, his laugh, his sweetness, his insistance on doing things right, and his sometimes mischievous nature. He was a kindred spirit and will forever be missed.

I miss you so much already. My heart is so heavy for selfish reasons because I didnt get to see you before you went. But I know you are in a better place where there is no more pain and suffering. I know you were put in my life for a reason and that was to leave your hand prints on my soul. I love you now and always, and you will always be carried with me. Tell we meet again........
