Aimee Krause Obituary

Aimee Krause passed on to the kingdom of heaven Friday, Sept 30, 2011. She has returned home to the love of her life and husband of 50 years, Paul Krause, who preceded her in the hereafter. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Chapel. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Aimee arrived in this world April 4, 1928, in Macon, Ga., and spent most of her formative years in Savannah, Ga. She served her country as a registered nurse in the U.S. Air Force. There she met and married the love of her life, Paul, in September 1955. She left the service as a captain in 1959 to begin a family. In addition to being a devoted mother and wife, this true Southern belle and Georgia peach made a career of community service through her membership and leadership in many military and civic organizations, including Carswell Retired Officers Wives Club, Carswell Garden Club, Lake Country Wildflowers Garden Club, Fort Worth Garden Club, Fort Worth Women’s Club, Lake Country Property Owners Association board of directors, Eagle Mountain Volunteer Fire Department board of directors and Tarrant County Child Protective Services advisory board. Survivors: Aimee will be forever loved by her sons, Skip and Dave; and grandchildren, Chance and Katy.
