Well I sit here today not knowing how to feel. I only know that I am in so much pain. Maybe this will help... I have never gone a day with out wanting to spend it with mema. She was the one person that I shared everything with. I know now that she was the only one who ever really knew ME. She gave me something that I never had and that is an unconditional love. She gave love even when u feel as if you are unloveable. She saw something in me that no one else did. Only because she knew my every thought and move. I realize now that she knew me better than I know myself and that scares me. I ask myself how a human soul has so much love for someone. She always knew the perfect thing to say to me and she always hugged me when i needed it. I never had to say a thing she just knew. Mema, you were my angel from heaven, and my best friend. I will miss you and you will always have my heart.
Love, Lacy

I am so sorry that this wonderful, kind hearted, very special lady is gone. She will be missed greatly by all that had the privaledge to know her. The day Barbra called me many years ago to ask if she could send Nena to live with her dad and I and go to school in Waco because of trouble in her school in Fort Worth was a blessing to me. And just knowing she trusted me to care for her child made me feel very special. We will miss her so much, and there will be a void that won't be filled untill we meet again. My thougts and prayer go out to the whole family.

I carry sadness in this time of loss. Not only for myself but mostly that of the family who knew Barbara best. She loved her kids with the deepest and greatest love mothers' can give and then some. While we should not be saddened by the calling of God's Will, it is her heart, mind and soul that will remain in us until God calls upon us in our time. I have made a dedication to the family and I want to share it here too:
Jesus said that not even one sparrow “falls to the ground apart from [God’s] will. . . . Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows”

Oh my god, how memaw will be missed. The loss my family will endure is a massive one. With a heart so big and warm ,I'll never know another person like her ever!! She was so loveing, understanding and the most open-minded person I know. I know without a doubt my life personally will not be the same without her. She always made you fill loved and so special to her ....no matter what shamful thing you got yourself into. The love and support she gave us was truely unconditional and she mean't the world to me . knowing my darkest secrets she managed to still let me know just how proud she was of me. she could put me at ease in an instant, she was salvation at times for most of us I know....and she was so relaxing to be around and loved to laugh....she made me laugh A LOT! I could go on and on here but ....I will just miss her so much and will always love her. She was most definately the coolest grandmother in the world.
