Benjamin Kendrick Obituary
Memorial service: 1 p.m. Friday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel.
Benny was born Oct. 17, 1960, in Denison to Ben and Jan Kendrick. Benny moved to Arlington at the age of 9 months. He attended high school at Sam Houston and was a member of the class of 1979. Benny moved to Alvarado several years ago. One of his biggest joys in life was when he threw his fishing rods into the bed of his truck and his dog in the front seat and would spend the day at the lake. He was proud of all his nephews and nieces and enjoyed spending time with them. Benny loved watching movies and we loved listening to him laugh. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
Benny was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Ruth Kendrick; and his grandmother, Ruth Davis of Durant, Okla.
Survivors: Father, Ben Kendrick; brother, J.D. Kendrick; sister, Ruth Beasley and husband, Bobby; nephews, Justin Chapa and his wife, Anna, Heath Chapa, Derek Beasley and James "J.B." Kendrick; nieces, Erin and Cera Beasley and Tiffany Kendrick; great-nieces, Krystelle and Kaylee Beasley; and numerous family and friends.

Ben, JD and Ruthie. I'm really sorry for your loss. I just found out so was not able to attend the services. Benny was quite a guy and I spent most of my youth being friends with him. I lost track of him being in the military for 22 years but I did see him last December. I'm really glad we got to reminisce. I'll miss him and he will always be in my thoughts as he alwas has been.

I haven't seen any of you in many years, the Kendrick Family was special to me growing up. I always felt welcome. Benny and I enjoyed playing football togather. I did not know Benny was gone until today. It makes me sad that it has been so long since I've seen him. The last time I saw him he had his fishing poles with him.
My heart goes out all of the Kendrick Family. Especailly you Mr. Kendrick. We all want to out live our children. I am sorry you have to endure this pain. You are a great dad, May God Bless you. Your Friend Scott
