Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Rusty was born Jan. 16, 1918 in Eastland. He served in the Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement he was an active member of the Civitan Club and the Lions Club. His hobbies were music, dancing, and fishing and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Robert Lee Rust and Olive Irene Bridges Rust of Eastland, brother, Clifford Rust, and sisters, Irene Conway and Willena Glosson.
Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Oleta Walker Rust; son, B.J. Rust Jr. and wife, Trisha Cox of Fort Worth; daughters, Wanda Moore and husband, Dr. Larry Moore of Mesa, Ariz., Pat Aston and husband, Chip of Southlake; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Robbie Lee Mann of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
