Billie Angle Obituary

Billie Mae Angle passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 3200 Denton Highway, Haltom City. Interment: Birdville Cemetery.
Billie Angle was a loving mother and wife for whom her children and grandchildren were everything. Known as a determined and independent-minded woman, she liked to work hard and expected everyone else to. She had many jobs in life, working as a model, an educator, an apartment manager and many more. But she saw her most important job as raising her two sons.
She had a good sense of humor, nourished by her husband of 60 years, Les Angle, who passed away in 2001. "She had a zest for life," said Billie Boshart, her sister-in-law and a friend of more than 60 years. Billie had a difficult childhood but a long, happy and fulfilling life as a mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was still talking about getting another job in her 70s, but was dissuaded by her husband and sons. In recent years, she had struggled with health problems, but remained in her home of six decades until her death.
She had hospice care the last day of her life and died peacefully with her sons and close family nearby. She was 89.
Survivors: Her sons, Jim and George; her grandchildren, Sarah, Anglea, Jerrad, Ashley and Spencer; her great-grandchildren, Charlie and Landry; her sister-in-law, Billie Boshart; her niece, Beth Barnes and family; and many, many friends.
